anyone know a part number or where I can find a transome tilt switch for alpha 1 gen 2 ???? Beckman, I know you can help, you probably have 3-4 laying around

Beckman will need to know the year, too. Supposedly the electrical socket connections changed at one time where the new switch tees in. Except for drilling to place the switch, it should all be plug and play.

When I bought my trim switch years ago for my boat which has a BIII Merc drive, the trim switch was a Merc part, so I would have doubts if the same part would work on a Volvo Penta.

I have searched for Volvo ones and always came up empty. I had installed one on my old Merc Alpha 1 but seems to me I have seen these on a Volvo also. Could be wrong...wouldn’t be the first time.
Bob, I was looking for something a little different, a remote device. I looked and looked, but no luck. I realized I’m going to have to build my own kit. I needed a Reverse Polarity Remote Control able to handle 30A as the heart of this project. After a couple of weeks searching I stumbled on to Gama Electronics they have the perfect device, RF12V1PR-ASL. RF12V1PR-ASL - Gama Electronics (gamainc.com)
I mounted the Receiver on the Trim Mounting Bracket, swapped out the rusted, cruddy carbon steel Bracket with a stainless steel unit. Manufactured a Wire Harness with the proper color coded wires; crimped, soldered connectors and shrink wrapped all the wires.
Nothing is removed from the original configuration, so returning it back is about a 5 minute operation no tools required.

Well something happened to my link. Lol
Mine was the same as Randy's! 🔗😂
True, but look at the connectors on your link way above and mine. The last number of the part number is also off by 1, so apparently the connectors were changed at some time.

Michael Beckman,
I have just purchased the same remote you have.
Can you please help me as to how you wired it.
I can recall you had issues with the trim switch not working after the initial set-up, how did you rectify this issue.

The remote should just tee into an existing connector - all plug and play. As noted above, the connector was modified at one time, so there are two models.
