Talking to a guy on a 240 with a 496. Very clean boat but not sure I'll be satisfied with a 240. My Dad has one (w/ 350 mag) and I've been on it once. While the ride was good, I don't recall it being as good as the 270.

I know the 270 s deeper but what I'm trying to find is the deadrise on each. I can't find this in any of the specs through google. Anyone have an idea of where I might find this?

Anyone on here with a 240 w/ 496 mag (375hp) and B3? Curious about performance?
I remember specifically looking at rpm's/speed on my Dad's the one time I was out. 3400 rpm's to run 30 mph and upper 40's WOT. I'm sure the 496mag will be much better but again, with the difference in the hull, curious about how much better.

    Thanks
    Billy and Jami Arnold

Yeah I finally found it online, thanks. Thinkin the ride is going to be completely different, and may not be satisfied but we'll see. Going to view/ water test tonight.

                Yep, finally...
However, verdict is still out on how long it will last. Friday night sea trial at Cumberland, water had a very light chop and had no boat traffic at all. So, boat performed extremely well and rode well. Yesterday at Laurel, wind was up causing white caps, and traffic was healthy. With this, definitely a different ride than the 270 which I expected due to deadrise difference and bow angle. Performance wise though, pretty impressed considering the hull difference between this and the 270. With 6 adults, 2 full coolers, a ton of gear (previous owner left everything) and a full tank of gas, gps showed 36-37mph at 3200 rpm's (40mph on speedo) and 54 gps at 4800 rpm's WOT. Speedo showed 60 even. It has 24p props on it so thinking about trying 26's. It gets up on plane like a rocket so I'm ok giving up a little to plane time and increasing cruising speed.

So, the wife knows I'm not completely satisfied so there's a chance it could be up for sale in the near future. She is ready to kill me but I was determined to not go another season without a pleasure boat so pulled the trigger. The condition of this thing is unreal. Interior was a little dirty but nothing major. No rips, tears, stains, etc. We cleaned on it for a couple of hrs Sat am and now in the sun, it is solid white. I could not find a scratch on the exterior and it shines like it just came off the showroom. It is a very well cared for one owner boat. Got tons of looks and compliments at the dock yesterday. I'm not sure if that was due to the looks, the stereo, or both. That was definitely a selling feature, I won't have to spend a dime on the stereo.

After numerous trips, miles, expenses travelling all over to look at boats that were "immaculate", kind of wild that I found this one in the back yard.

I sincerely appreciate everyone's assistance in looking/shopping for us. I may be asking for help again in the future. Ha!!

The boat looks nice, but get rid of those ghetto trailer rims. Looking back, I am thinking you should have just gotten that black and white 270 in Illinois. The dealer was a jerk, but the boat was nice and the interior only needed a little bit of cleaning. Still, nice looking 240.
